Central Committee

Allen County Democratic Party central committee members are elected representatives of the people at the most local level. As an elected official, the committee person represents the people in the precinct and serves as a communication link between the Democratic Party, elected officials, and the citizens of the precinct.

The role of the central committee person is to encourage community involvement and political involvement at a grassroots level by providing information and opportunity for participation in the political process.

The Executive Committee

The Executive Committee meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month at the IBEW Hall, 1976 N. West Street, Lima

The members of the Allen County Democratic Party Executive Committee will work in order to organize and perpetuate a representative, effective, and responsible party organization at all levels in Allen County Ohio; affiliate with and advance the interest of the Democratic Party for the state of Ohio and nationally; sustain and advance the principles of democracy; and uphold human and civil rights and constitutional government.

Women’s Club

President – Jan Maus. The Allen County Women’s Club meets every 2nd Thursday of the month at Western Sizzlin on Elida Road at 11:30 am. Join the Women’s Club for just $5 per year. Men and Women are welcome.

The Club is designed to support candidates by offering a place to voice their Democratic principles. Fundraisers will held such as the Chocolate Auction and the Summer Picnic to raise money for candidates. The Club also supports local organizations of the community, such as the Lima Samaritan House, the Food Pantry, the Lima Ford Ramp Crew, and Relay for Life.
